Books - Evolution of the Porsche 911 in Competition 1956-2010 (Author: Keyser, Oursler)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The Porsche 911 has a unique place in motorsport history, having been actively involved from its launch in the 1960s to the present day and in all manner of competitions. This lavishly illustrated history is written by ex-racer Michael Keyser and renowned Porsche historian Bill Oursler and with an American editorial team, it does concentrate heavily, though not exclusively, on the American racing scene. The IMSA races have been a lucrative hunting ground for several generations of 911 and derivatives such as the 935 and there are plenty of them featured within this slip cased volume. Not definitive by any stretch, but fairly comprehensive and one that we will be adding to the Porsche section of our library.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
