Books - Mighty MG Magnettes of 1933, The Cars, The Drivers, The Mystery (Author: Cocks)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Mighty MG Magnettes of 1933 Weight 3,3kg by Graeme Cocks “The Cars, The Drivers, The Mystery” is the subtitle to this mighty tome and there is plenty for the author to have got stuck into. 1933 saw great success for MG and their supercharged K3 Magnette racers and this charts the background to their development and the many races that the cars took part in. There are plenty of period photos throughout, some of which were hand tinted giving an insight into racing colours (they weren’t all green!). Many great drivers were involved, not least Nuvolari, and the mystery of the Mille Miglia and TT winning car which may or may not have been sold to a German who may or may not have existed! Fascinating stuff.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
