Books - ERA R4D, The Autobiography of R4D (Great Cars #6) (Author: MacHulbert)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine ERA R4D, The Autobiography of R4D Weight 2.5 kg by J Mac Hulbert ERA chassis R4D has had a magnificent career, starting in 1935 with Raymond Mays and continuing after the war with Mays, Flockhart and Wharton, still competitive against much more modern machinery. The author was fortunate enough to be the custodian of this machine for a number of years and so is in the perfect position to chart its history and there is plenty of input too from other former owners and drivers. There is a fantastic selection of photographs from the beginning right up to the present day and these include some rare early colour such as a shot from Brooklands in 1938. A fine publication about a magnificent machine.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
