Books - La Grande Bataille Des Prototypes et des GT 1963 - 1967 (Author: Bollee)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine weight 1kg by Michel Bollée
Following a similar format to his books on the history of Le Mans, Michel Bollée here takes a look at many of the important and interesting cars which competed for the World Championship of Makes between 1963 and 1967. There are, of course, plenty of big banger Ferraris and Fords but he also takes a look at many of the smaller engined cars which made up the lower classes, with the well known Abarths and Alpines along with a smattering of oddities such as the very unusual Martini-BMW to add interest. The photos are carefully selected and are from a variety of races including Le Mans, Spa, Sebring, Daytona and the Nurburgring. This set of books is building into a useful mini reference library of sports racing cars from the 1960s through to the 1980s. They're not the most comprehensive but we have found the Le Mans volumes very handy over the years. FRENCH TEXT.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
