Books - Gruppe C, Die Sportswagenrennen 1982-1992 (Author: Nehlert)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Gruppe C, Die Sportswagenrennen 1982-1992 weight 1.9kg by Thomas Nehlert Many books have been produced on the Group C era of sportscar racing, though most tend to either concentrate on Le Mans or on specific manufacturers. This is a rather broader view which sets out to cover all chassis types that raced to these regulations. First there is an introduction to the rules and then the next four chapters look at the most successful of the types, Porsche’s 956/962, Jaguar’s XJRs, the Sauber Mercedes and the Peugeots. Then there is a roundup of the other manufacturer’s efforts, be they giants such as Lancia, Nissan and Toyota or specialist race car builders like Rondeau, Tiga and Spice and then we see the small teams and their specials. There are excellent photographs throughout taken at a variety of races, giving us a decent insight into these great cars. GERMAN TEXT.
