Books - Can-Am, Die Formel Der Unbegrenzten Moglichkeiten 1966-1974 (Author: Reinsch)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Can-Am, Die Formel der Unbegrentzen Moeglichkeiten 1966-1974 weight 2.2kg By Christian Reinsch The rough translation of the title of this book is The Formula of Unlimited Possibilities, referring of course to the extremely open regulations which allowed designers vast scope for experimentation. The first chapter charts this history of the series, season by season with an overview of the races and summary of the championship each year. Next up we look at the championship winning manufacturers, McLaren, Lola, Porsche and Shadow, with technical details of their major car types. The third chapter looks at the huge raft of smaller chassis makers, many of which were one-offs and then we have a brief look at the attempt to resurrect the Can-Am in the early 1980s. The final chapter has detailed race results for the main Can-Am era and the book is colourfully illustrated throughout with a great selection of photos. GERMAN TEXT.
