Books - Ferrari's World Champions, The Cars That Beat The World (Author: Mapelli)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine weight 1.1 kg by Enrico Mapelli
The only team to have been involved in the Formula 1 World Championship from its inception in 1950 to the present day, it is unsurprising that Ferrari is also the most successful. They have also won many sports car racing championships and this lavishly illustrated book highlights each championship winning car type that has represented the prancing horse. The book is split into F1 and sportscars and there are brief synopses of each season along with plenty of photos of the cars. These images include period race photos and, in a number of cases, cutaway drawings and photos of restored cars as they are now. Being an Italian written celebration of Ferrari, it's not exactly impartial but it's a great book for Ferraristi.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
