Books - Autodelta, l?Alfa Romeo e le corse (Author: Tabucchi)
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Originally tasked with building the Alfa Romeo Tubolare Zagato (TZ), due to lack of facilities at either Alfa or Zagato, Autodelta was soon absorbed by Alfa Romeo in the early 1960s and for the next two decades was the base for factory competition cars as well as being able to help with prototype development. This well illustrated history of the company starts with another team who raced Alfa Romeos before the war, Scuderia Ferrari, from where some of the key personnel moved to start the new firm. The main story takes us through the development of the TZ and TZ2, through many successes with the road car derived GTA and GTJs around the world, on to the glorious 33 series of mid-engined sports racers and finally to F1. We stop in for some rally action along the way too! The text is in Italian, which limits things a little but the photos are excellent and there’s plenty of data for results and specifications.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
