Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Blue Oval Et Al Ferraris Weight 900g by Randy Cook Purists look away now. With parts and expertise difficult to find for the original engines, many Ferrari race cars in America found themselves receiving heart transplants from local donors during the 1960s. Most popular were Corvette engines and these were the subject of Cook’s previous work ‘Bowtie Ferraris’. Here he concentrates on Ford and other US engines including Buick, Chrysler and even Offenhauser units which found their way under Italian bonnets. Each car is featured with a brief history and most have images of them restored to original specification today. There is also an addendum to the previous book with additional images of some of the cars featured there which have since surfaced and also some new subjects such as a pro-street drag car built using the 250GTE body left over from a GTO recreation.
Over the years we have created a library here at GPM and many collectors regularly ask us which books we use most and which are the most reliable source of information. We offer quality titles selected for their reference material content.
