Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Mercedes Benz 300SE 1st Spa 1964 1964 was the first running of the Spa 24 hours for a decade and also the first time it had been purely a saloon car race. The old Spa circuit was quick but even so it is a bit of a surprise that the fastest of the entrants were lapping at well over 100mph, this Mercedes averaging 102mph for the 24 hours including pit stops! Most photos from the race are in black and white and compared to these the placement of the decoration looks good. The few colour images that we do have suggest a slightly duller blue, but that could be reproduction. The detailing on the model is quite simple, with small body trim printed on, but there are etched wipers and etched vents on the front wings.
Well finished die-casts of varying levels of accuracy. Some very good, others (mostly Ferraris) not. Made in China
