Ferrari 335S 1st/2nd Venezuela 1957 #12/14 by Jade Miniatures

Ferrari 335S 1st/2nd Venezuela 1957
Hand built available JAD43105MA 1st JAD43105MB 2nd
With the final round of the World Championship being critical, Ferrari sent four works cars to Caracas in Venezuela, a pair of 250 TRs and a pair of 335S models, which had had their noses modified in the ‘pontoon’ style to aid cooling in the heat. It worked, Phil Hill and Peter Collins winning in car #14 and Mike Hawthorn and Luigi Musso following them home in #12. The two TRs rounded out a Ferrari whitewash as their competition from Maserati all crashed! The car looks similar to a TR but with flat sides and Jade has modelled the shape of the car well. The kit is in their typical simple style and the hand built shows that the parts will make a convincing model.

About Jade Miniatures

A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
