Ferrari 246 6th Monaco 1960 Ginther by Jade Miniatures
Kit available JAD43159
This subject marks a double debut as it was Richie Ginther’s first start in a championship Grand Prix and his mount was Ferrari’s first mid-engined machine, the Scuderia having previously bought a Cooper for ‘research’ purposes. Although Ginther is shown as sixth in the results, he was 30 laps down and had to push the car across the line. The shape of the compact machine looks pretty good and the general finish on the model is to Jade’s usual standards. The windscreen on our sample is cut a little small but neatly positioned.

About Jade Miniatures
A well established range of well thought out kits and hand built models of competition cars, mostly from the golden era of the 1950s and 60s. The kits are generally pretty simple with well cast resin bodies, small numbers of resin and white metal ancillaries and a modest amount of etch. In the case of open wheeled subjects, the etch usually includes most or all of the suspension. Hand builts generally well finished. Made in France.
