Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Tommy Wisdom was Jaguarís sole representative on the 1953 Targa Florio, driving the ex-streamlined car XKC011, now re-clothed in a standard body. The weather was awful and Wisdom was taking it steady but still lost a lot of time when he spun off the road after hitting the mud left by the shoes of spectators crossing! K&Rís kit is a familiar one to us and the shape of their C Type is very good. The louvres on the sides of the bonnet are a little exaggerated but the kits still build well. Wheels are in kit form with etched spokes, which is an improvement over the old cast items.
About K & R Replicas
Well cast, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
