Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine MG TD Blandford 1950 Jacobs MG’s new TD model made its competition debut at the Blandford army camp circuit (host to the first UK post war races in 1948) in 1950 and Dick Jacobs won the production sports car race with an example borrowed from the factory. The win was unfortunately short lived as the officials found the car had non-standard shock absorbers and was disqualified. The kit parts are based on K&R’s older MG TD road car release and are well proportioned and cleanly cast. Decals are simply for race numbers and number plates and it will make for a simple build of an historically significant MG.
About K & R Replicas
Well cast, if rather crude, metal kits. Usually accurate though occasionally a bit odd. Wire wheels of the self - assembly type. Decals, when included, often slightly yellow (typical of many English makers) but will bleach with exposure to u.v. light. Now including a little more photo-etch. Made in England.
