Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Innocenti Mini De Tomaso Mk1 1977 White Also available KES43012010 red Innocenti was a subsidiary of British Leyland when the original Innocenti Mini hatchback was launched in 1974. The car was based on the Mini floorpan with slightly higher performance versions of the A-Series engine to carry the extra weight of the Bertone styled body. Within a year or so, BL was in financial trouble and Innocenti was sold off to de Tomaso and the Mini hatchback received a facelift with moulded bumpers and a sporty bonnet-top air intake. Kess’ model looks slightly odd from the rear but overall they’ve done a reasonable job of capturing the shape and the finish is very good. An unusual subject and one that should certainly be well received by Mini fans. Only 300 pieces have been made, so be quick.
Very well finished resincast models, similar in style to Neo. Made in China for Italy.
