Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Triumph TR3S Le Mans 1959 #26 1:18 At first glance these two look like very well finished replicas of two of the factory entered Triumphs from Le Mans in 1959. The paint finishes are excellent and the decoration is all neatly applied. The tonneau cover drops down behind the seat into the well finished cockpit and the cut down windscreen looks excellent. Opening panels reveal plenty of interior detail including a normal TR3 engine under the bonnet. The TR3S was not simply a TR3 with the windscreen cut down though, as these pretty models are. It was a fibreglass bodied special built to look like the production car but with a longer wheelbase, four-wheel disc brakes and a purpose built twin-cam engine.
Very well finished, generally accurate die-casts. 1:43rd subjects usually kerbside. 1:18th feature opening panels and a fair level of engine detail. Made in Japan.
