Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lotus 10 12F James Dean Having found his Porsche 356 Speedster too slow, James Dean ordered a Lotus X as a replacement but, having been told that the new car would not be ready in time for the Santa Barbara races, he bought the now infamous Porsche 550 as a stop gap. When the Lotus arrived in California it was raced initially by Jerry Timanus and passed then on to various other racers over the years. It is as raced on its first appearance that we see the car modelled here, finished in red as ordered by Dean.
About MEA kit 43
An interesting range largely, but not exclusively, consisting of 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable but hand builts usually pretty well finished. Made in France.
