Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Lotus XI Sebring 1957 #74 According to Jack Shepherd, who was the original US agent for Lotus, the four examples of the XI that raced at Sebring in 1957 were factory cars until the end of the race at which point they were handed over to the customers who had already paid for them! American Charles Moran had his car painted in traditional white with blue stripes. In the race the car was disqualified after running out of fuel and being pushed. The stripes are so dark that they look almost black, but otherwise the decal placement and small details look good from the photos that we have.
About MEA kit 43
An interesting range largely, but not exclusively, consisting of 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable but hand builts usually pretty well finished. Made in France.
