Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Bowler Dakar 2013 #445, Race2Recovery The Race to Recovery project saw a group of wounded British military personal teamed with able-bodied co-drivers tackle the Dakar in both 2013 and 2014, driving adapted Bowler Wildcats. The objectives of the project are two-fold, to directly help rehabilitate those who have lost limbs and who are part of the team and to raise money of the veteranís charity Help For Heroes. Of the cars modelled here, the 2013 entry finished the event in ninety-first place, while the 2014 entry retired with electrical problems on the second day, though its crew then continued with the support vehicles to help their comrades. The basic shape of MEAís Bowler is not bad and the decals look pretty good, but as is often the case, the finish of the models isnít the greatest. These subjects are hand built only and in very limited numbers.
About MEA kit 43
An interesting range largely, but not exclusively, consisting of 1:43 motorcycles. The nature of the subjects and the size of many of the parts mean that these are best suited to those with good eyesight! Casting quality can be variable but hand builts usually pretty well finished. Made in France.
