Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The first thing we notice on these 512Ms when compared with the 512Ss above is that the paint finishes are slightly better. There’s also a little more etch in evidence with items like the small winglets on the rear corners neatly folded up. Of the cars modelled in this batch, only the Gelo car finished a race, classified ninth at the Nurburgring. The NART and Montjuich cars retired with mechanical failures (a sadly familiar story when looking at Ferrari 512 history) and Muller’s car was withdrawn at the Norisring following Pedro Rodriguez’s fatal accident in a sister machine. It is this car which is the most unusual in decoration, though all make for attractive models.
