Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Most colourful of these subjects is the Brands Hatch car of Ickx and Oliver, which finished the race in eighth position and is adorned with various event sponsors. Of the two Nurburgring entries, the #56 car is actually a practice version, originally entered for Ickx & Surtees. The Belgian injured himself falling over in his hotel room and so Giunti took a spin in the car, literally, crashing and severely damaging it at the Karousel. Some reshuffling of drivers took place and in the race Surtees joined Vacarella in #55, finishing third. These cars differ slightly in that they have a small splitter around the bottom of the nose. For the Watkins Glen six Hours we revert to standard bodywork again and the best finish was for the #92 car which was third in the hands of Andretti & Giunti, Ickx/Schetty following home in fifth. All of the models are finished to a high standard with neatly cut windscreens, excellent paint and in the case of the Nurburgring cars, fine etch for the front splitter. Production numbers are limited, so itís likely that these wonít be available for very long. Donít miss out.
