Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 250GTO Le Mans 1964 #26 Kit available MGMGTO010 The first of the new build ‘64 GTOs, chassis 5571GT was delivered to Luigi Chinetti at NART and raced extensively during the 1964 season, after which it retired. At Le Mans the car suffered a catastrophic transmission failure which saw metal fragments launched some distance. The roof features an integral spoiler which is neatly moulded and has been opened up carefully on this hand built. As we’ve seen on other GTOs from MG, the vac-formed windscreen isn’t the best fit but the rest of the build is very clean with careful detail painting and neatly applied decals and ancillaries.
