Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 250GTO Goodwood TT 1964 #29 Hand built available MGMGTO019M Chassis 4491GT was delivered to David Piper in 1963 and raced as a standard GTO for a season. It then had the roof height lowered and a number of other subtle changes made it what was considered the fastest of all the GTOs. At the Goodwood TT the car was finished in Piperís tradition bright green and driven to tenth overall by Tony Maggs. Peter Sutcliffe bought the car at the end of the 1964 season and had the roof modified again to add a bulge for his crash helmet, hence the separation of the two versions into different kits. The car was also repainted dark green with the wheels red. Sutcliffe enjoyed several class wins with the car including in the Spa 500kms. The parts in both kits are very similar and as with all in this series will make for simple builds. The hand built models are well finished but the makers have chosen to highlight the door shuts in black, something that they havenít done on other models in the series. This is subtle on the later car thanks to the dark main colour but rather obvious on the lighter car.
