Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Maserati Tipo 61 Birdcage 1960 #66 Hall Kit available MID43066 Although these are all effectively re-issues from Midlantic, the patterns have been reworked to sharpen things up, not that they were bad models when first released fifteen or so years ago. Our hand built samples here are all very well finished with crisp panel engraving beneath evenly applied glossy paint and with carefully placed smaller parts. The physical differences between the Camoradi car driven to victory at the Nurburgring by Moss and Gurney and that of Jim Hall are very subtle, but the earlier chassis (but later race entry) of Gaston Andrey has a prominent head-fairing. The decoration on all checks out well with period images and the decals are lacquered in.
Excellent kits and hand-built models using crisply cast resin bodies, white metal ancillary parts, lots of fine photo-etching and (usually) good decals. Clear instructions include a parts list with detailed colours. Beautifully finished hand builts. Made in England
