Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Lungo 1938 Only ten long wheelbase 8C 2900Bs were built, the car modelled here being a survivor in Alfa Romeo’s travelling museum collection. Overall the shape of the car looks very good but at the rear the bumpers have been set slightly further away from the body to allow the hinged boot to open. This opening panel, along with the main body, is diecast while the opening doors and bonnet are plastic, but the paint finishes are so consistent that this doesn’t show. That the wire wheels are plastic is, unfortunately, very obvious. A shame because the interior and engine detailing is excellent, as is the overall build quality.
One of the market leaders in die-cast models. Good shapes, excellent paint and decoration. 1:43rds are kerbside while 1:18ths usually have plenty of opening parts and detail. Also an increasing number of 1:43 resincast models. Made in China.
