Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Unveiled at Geneva in 2010, the Porsche 918 is a new flagship model for the company and, thanks to a hybrid powertrain, offers near 200 mph performance with claimed fuel economy of over 70 mpg, though we suspect not at the same time. The styling of the two seat roadster is reminiscent of the Carrera GT produced a few years ago and like that machine it will be very limited production, not least thanks to a price tag of 768,000 Euro! Minichamps’ model is well finished as we expect with fine metallic paint, crisp panel lines and a nicely detailed interior with vivid yellow piping on the black seats. Unusually for their 1:18 offerings, only the doors open and these reveal well detailed return edges and door trim. The rear end looks as if it should open but doesn’t, or at least not with the level of force we were prepared to try!
