Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Porsche 956 Brands Hatch 1983 J David The works 956s were defeated for a second time in 1983 at Brands Hatch, John Fitzpatrick sharing his J David sponsored machine with Derek Warwick to take the win. This was in part thanks to an ingenious turbo-driven block cooling system which meant that some vents could be closed off and downforce increased, particularly useful in the wet conditions early in the race. The car is modelled on slicks, which is how it was at the end of the race, and the decoration looks to be accurate. This is an older pattern and so some of the smaller details such as the windscreen wiper are a bit chunky (could be replaced by Tameo TMKFT005 wiper set), but the finish is to a high standard.
One of the market leaders in die-cast models. Good shapes, excellent paint and decoration. 1:43rds are kerbside while 1:18ths usually have plenty of opening parts and detail. Also an increasing number of 1:43 resincast models. Made in China.
