Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Williams FW08D Test 1982 Rosberg The FW08D was Williamsís second attempt at a six-wheeled F1 car. The theory behind the project was that the much smaller rear wheels gave far less drag and with both rear axles driven the acceleration and grip were excellent. The car modelled was tested by Rosberg at Silverstone and the details check out well with the few grainy photos that exist of this test. The general finish is good and the model is presented in Williams branded packaging. The car never raced as the rules from 1983 onwards specifically define a car as having four wheels!
One of the market leaders in die-cast models. Good shapes, excellent paint and decoration. 1:43rds are kerbside while 1:18ths usually have plenty of opening parts and detail. Also an increasing number of 1:43 resincast models. Made in China.
