Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Bugatti T54 Roadster 1931 As with many of the cars in the Mullin Collection, there is an interesting story behind this subject. Originally a race car built in 1931, chassis 57201 was crashed heavily at Avus killing its first owner in 1932. The wreckage was then rebuilt with this roadster body, which in turn was removed in the 70s when the car was restored as a racer. The car as modelled uses that roadster body on a recreated chassis which then begs the question, is it really a Bugatti and what date should it be given? The shape of the car looks pretty good and the black paint finish is excellent. Some of the detailing is rather chunky however.
One of the market leaders in die-cast models. Good shapes, excellent paint and decoration. 1:43rds are kerbside while 1:18ths usually have plenty of opening parts and detail. Also an increasing number of 1:43 resincast models. Made in China.
