Following the revolutionary and not very successful 'roller skate' of 1970, Shadow appeared in 1971 with a slightly more conventional machine in 1971, the low line Shadow Mk2 designed by Peter Bryant. On its race debut at St Jovite the car qualified on the second row of the grid but retired with fuelling problems. The complexity of the cockpit tub means that Marsh's traditional etched liner wasn't a viable option and so we see a resin part here which is finished with decals to show the rivet detail. Clever stuff. Elsewhere we do see a fair amount of etch along with plenty more cleanly cast resin and white metal.
