Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Also available MM179M - built
The Lola T160 didn't enjoy anything like the success of its predecessor, the T70. The STP car was entered by Holman and Moody and for most of the season driven by Mario Andretti, modelled here as it appeared in the last race of the season, finishing 12th. At the end of the Can-Am season, Al Unser then raced the car at Mount Fuji, with STP taking over as the main sponsor and their logos replacing the Ford ones on the flanks of the car. The Simoniz car is modelled as driven by Chuck Parsons at Laguna Seca, where he retired having discovered that he needed more than three wheels for the car to perform properly. Both kits are made up of very similar parts with well cast resin bodies, white metal chassis and the usual etched cockpit liner.
