Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari had no front line works machinery entered for the Paris 1000kms but David Piper represented the Scuderia in his ex-works chassis bought at the end of the previous season. As was often the case for Piper cars, it had been somewhat modified and appeared with enlarged rear wheel arches which had yet to be painted. The car ran strongly early on but retired from the race with head gasket failure. Marsh’s kit parts are well made as usual and appear correct when compared with race photos, of which we have many. On the hand built model the bare aluminium sections on those rear arches are lacquered in, but we would apply the decals provided after any lacquer. One ommission on the built model and the instructions is the small Marchall decal on the rear corner of the car, though the logo is included on the decal sheet.
