Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The first Caldwell Can-Am was written off in testing when the suspension failed and the new car, built around a lighter chassis, didn’t have the high mounted wing which had caused instability. This model was initially listed as being driven by Brett Lunger and, though he did race the car in near identical form, the car is modelled here as Sam Posey drove it to thirteenth position at Riverside. The only clear photo of the car that we’ve found from this race is in black and white, but the decal placement looks very good when compared with this, as does the shape. The rear spoiler with built in oil coolers is a little heavy and may have been better as a fold up etched piece, but overall the hand built model is well made and shows that the cleanly cast kit parts go together nicely.
