Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine McLaren M8E Interserie 1971 #33 Bell Kit also available - MM242 The German-based Interserie championship attracted strong grids and big crowds in the early 1970s, 40,000 piling in to Hockenheim for the race on July 4th. Derek Bell led the field away from pole position in Sid Taylorís Castrol sponsored machine and converted that position into a win. Marshís hand built model of the car is finished to the usual high standard with excellent paint and neatly applied decals. The rear wing is a painted resin part on these M8Es and while it works on the Can-Am versions which are painted in sponsorís colours, it isnít quite as convincing for a bare aluminium wing as depicted here when compared with the folded etched parts weíve seen on some Marsh releases over the years.
