Mirage M1 Brands Hatch 1967 #3 Gulf by Marsh Models
Kit available MM250
Three lightweight Mirages were built at John Wyer’s Slough workshops, the GT40-based design featuring a much narrower roof structure giving the cars a distinctive look, and all three chassis are represented among the ten hand builts which are options in Marsh’s kit. Which chassis is which is slightly confusing to follow as the nose colours kept changing between them, but John Simons has kept his eye on the ball as far as matching stripes with race numbers. There are also other subtle details, such as the BOAC logos and blank rear deck roundel on the Brands Hatch car and neat etched canard fins are fitted to the noses of some versions. The overall standard of finish is up to Marsh’s usual high standards and they make for a fabulous looking group.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
