Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ford GT40 Daytona 1967 #11 Gulf Kit available MM253 Chassis 1049 is an important piece of GT40 and motorsport history as it was bought new by Grady Davis, vice-president of Gulf Oil and its outing at Daytona (where it finished sixth) was the first time the sponsorship appeared on the type. Although run by John Wyer, the car was in its original dark metallic blue, with an orange stripe added for the race. The paint finish and decals on the model are excellent and it makes for an interesting and unusual looking addition to any collection.
