Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Jaguar D Type Sebring 1955 #15 Kit available MM255 Several Jaguar D Types took part in the 1956 Sebring race and this kit offers the option of three of them, all of which had identical bodywork but very different colour schemes. The simplest of the decorations was also the most successful of the cars, oval racer Bob Sweikert making his circuit debut with car owner Jack Ensley to finish third overall. The bright yellow machine of Cuban crew Alfonso Gomez-Mena and Santiago Gonzalez finished eighth and the most interesting visually, the striped machine of Lou Brero Sr and Sam Weiss retired with clutch failure. Race photos show the dark stripes on this car to have a satin finish, so we’d be inclined to apply the decals and not lacquer over. The built models all have all of the decals lacquered in, which is usual Marsh practice. The choice is yours. Being too well finished aside, the decal placement on all looks very good.
