McLaren M8B Can-Am 1970 #11 Motschenbacher by Marsh Models
McLaren M8B Can-Am 1970 Motschenbacher
Hand built available MM256M
Lothar Motschenbacher was one of the strongest private entrants in the Can-Am and 1970 was his best season, finishing second overall in the final standings. His car is modelled as it appeared at St Jovite, a race in which he coincidentally finished second. Marsh’s M8B is a basic pattern which goes back a number of years and the kit parts are a typical mix of clean resin and white metal castings with plenty of etch including a chassis lining for the cockpit. Some of the etch, such as the rear wing element, is not needed and a resin part is included this time, with etched endplates to be added. The decals are clearly printed and the placement photographs check out well with race shots of the real car.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
