Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine McLaren M8D/E Can-Am 1972 #96 Durst Kit available MM258 Three very colourful options of privately entered McLarens are seen here, between them representing two chassis. Chuck Parsons drove Tony Deanís ex-works M8D/4 (renumbered M8E/1) for a few races in 1971, the car wearing a very Penske-esque dark blue and yellow colour scheme. Lothar Motschenbacher took delivery of one of the early Trojan built chassis (80-03), running it in his traditional red and yellow for Bob Bondurant in the early part of 1971 before selling it on to Steve Durst who had it repainted in a very eye-catching multi-shades of blue for the 1972 season. The finish on all of the models is very good with the decals neatly lacquered in. Itís the Durst car that really stands out, but all are attractive models.
