Ferrari 312PB 1st Targa Florio 1972 #3 by Marsh Models
Kit available MM265
The Ferraris dominated the 1972 World Championship for Makes, winning all races entered. For the European events the cars ran the same race numbers and the small details can get extremely confusing here as there were subtle changes to minor sponsor logos race by race and driver pairings switched around too. The most distinctive and probably the most famous version is the Targa Florio winner, with the bulge in the right hand side to carry the mandatory spare wheel and the double rear view mirror to allow for the very different heights of drivers Merzario and Munari. The details on this and the other versions seen here are well observed and the decals are carefully placed over excellent paint finishes. Rear wing element heights vary for some events and for the most part the shape is accurate, the only niggle being the position of the rear view mirror is slightly too central on all.
