Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ford GT40 Buenos Aires 1970 #16 Alternative version MM267m108 Guards Trophy MM267M11 BOAC MM267M5 Martini Trophy & MM267 Kit Paul Hawkins took over the Alan Mann Racing special AMR2 in 1967 and had the original lightweight aluminium bodywork replaced with standard panels so that it would be eligible for more races. This bodywork left a slight overhang on the sides as the Mann cars had a different sill design and so is a distinctive version of the GT40. These hand built models are all superbly finished and from the race images that we have the decal placement and other small details look very good. Where decals cross panel openings they have been neatly cut in and on the Buenos Aires car we see an unusual intake panel with pieces of trunking to draw in cooling air in place of the usual louvre on the rear deck.
