Chaparral Mk1 Mosport 1963 #11 Hall by Marsh Models
Chaparral Mk1 Mosport 1963 Hall
Hand built available MM270M
In one of our histories of Chaparral it states that Sebring was the last race for Jim Hall with the front-engined Mk1, but that is incorrect. The final fling for this car in Hall’s hands was at Mosport in June 1963 and he finished second overall on aggregate having scored a fifth in heat one and second in heat two. The car looks very odd as the bodywork for the rear engined Chaparral 2 was being tested and the main shape of the model looks pretty good. The windscreen is made up of flat acetate and a very fine etched frame and this is rather tall when compared with race photos, something that kit builders can adjust simply enough during assembly. Windscreen aside the hand built is finished to a typically high standard.

About Marsh Models
Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
