Ferrari 312PB Nurburgring/Watkins Glen/Zeltweg 1973 by Marsh Models

Ferrari 312PB Nurburgring/Zeltweg/Glen 1973
Hand built available MM282MN2 Ring MM282MZ2 Zeltweg & MM282M11 Watkins Glen
When it rolled out of the truck at the Nurburgring, chassis 0890 wore very different bodywork to that seen on 312PBs in previous sprint races. The nose was re-profiled but the significant changes were at the rear with a new rear deck that had a low centre section to direct air more efficiently through a modified rear wing, the oil cooler relocated to the right-hand side of the car necessitating a large intake in the sill and a tall airbox. Pace and Merzario drove and finished second in a formation finish. The car appeared twice more in this format, again with the same drivers, but with a slight change at the front incorporating more vents. These are moulded into the body, so will need filling if making the first version and this is detailed on the instructions. Care will be needed when assembling the rear wing as split etched fins must be wrapped around the element before painting. Otherwise it is a typical Marsh kit with very clean castings and should be a straightforward build.

About Marsh Models

Well established maker of high quality 1:43 kits and hand-built models. Kits feature very precisely moulded resin bodies requiring minimal clean up, equally good white metal ancillary parts, very fine photo-etching where necessary, machined wheel rims, bespoke resin tyres and clearly printed decals. Instructions usually a clearly drawn exploded diagram and often include a sample paint chip if the main body colour is an unusual one. Hand-builts beautifully built and detailed, usually from a series of 100 pieces but LE range typically from only 25. Made in England
