Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine McLaren M1C 4th Bridgehampton 1968 #77 Janke Alternative version MM284M47 Hansen MM284M84 Wonder & MM284 kit As we might expect, the earliest of these privately-run McLarens was the most successful, the type gradually losing competitiveness as the years went by. This is the simplest in terms of decoration too, the model finished in a bright white and with the rear spoiler set at quite a steep angle. Of this trio, the Janke car is the most colourful, the bright orange broken up with decal stripes which are lacquered-in in Marsh’s typical high gloss finish and Bill Wonder’s (great name for a racing driver!) machine features a deep front spoiler. Apart from the obvious colour and wing changes, there are other subtle detail differences between the models with locations and mounting style of mirrors etc all carefully observed.
