Marsh Models DecoArt - Delage D8-120 De Villars 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Delage D-120 De Villars Roof Open In original form (MMDA003) this spectacular Delage roadster featured riveted fins which went all the way around each of the wings and the car has been restored in this form (MMDA002). Relatively early in the carís sixty years prior to restoration, the fins were apparently damaged and cut down as a cheaper repair. Colour photos of the car in this form exist, some apparently from the 1970s and some when current owner Sam Mann acquired the car from its Canadian custodian in the 1990s. The earlier of those colour photos suggest quite a bright red and silver two-tone as Marsh show in their instructions, while in later pictures the red looks much darker. Perhaps photo reproduction differences or maybe a repaint? Marsh have chosen the brighter colours for their hand builts and very smart they look too, with neat masking of the two-tone paint, carefully applied etch and well detailed interior.
