Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine The Lotus name returns to Formula 1 in 2010 but so far at least has sadly not been able to offer even a glimmer of past glories, but there's time! The cars are good looking and are generally the quickest of the new teams to the sport this year. The early season kit doesn't specify a race but we are able to look more closely at the European GP car. This race marked the 500th Grand Prix start for a car wearing the Lotus badge but Valencia 2010 will probably be best remembered for Kovaleinen's example acting as a launch ramp for Mark Webber's Red Bull. The kit parts are a mix of resin, cast white metal, machined aluminium and photo-etch and are in a very similar style to leaders in this sector, Studio 27. The decals are superbly printed and include plenty of carbon fibre for smaller parts. They also offer the option of building the car of Malaysian test driver Fairuz Fauzy. The photos in the latest F1 Modeling (FOM044) confirm that the decals are correct for Valencia and this publication will prove very useful when building the kit and the other 2010 F1 releases now coming through.
Very well cast 1:20th resin & metal kits. Very similar in style and quality to Studio 27. Made in Japan.
