Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine We saw the first of these subjects in kit form in the last FSW and the model depicts the Lola GT Mk6 in its familiar shape as entered for the Sebring 12 Hours where it retired. When the car reappeared later in the year at Road America it had been significantly reworked and was sporting large extended wheelarches over much larger wheels. Sadly the car failed in this race too as apparently someone forgot to fit an engine mount after an overnight motor change and when it was fired up the power unit rocked over and broke the exhaust. Oops! Both models capture the shapes of their relevant subjects well and the paint finishes are excellent. The decoration appears accurate too, right down to the home made 'Do not hump' sign that someone attached to the back of the wide-body car on race weekend.
About Mini Racing
Prolific manufacturer of superbly cast, accurate easy build kits, usually resin though some earlier ones are white metal. Interior often moulded as a 'tub' which can make detail painting awkward. Decals excellent. Instructions limited to decal placement but simplicity of construction still makes these ideal for newcomers to 1:43rd modelling. Built models well finished. Made in France.
