Look Smart - Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster 1:43 model
Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Porsche 356 Pre-A Speedster 1955 Porsche’s 356 Speedster was originally requested for the American market and from its launch in 1954 through to the autumn of 1955 that’s where the first series cars all went, Europe only getting the cars when the 356A was released. The most obvious external features to identify the early ‘pre-A’ cars are twin round tail lights and bumpers with no over-riders but there are a few more subtle details too. Look Smart’s model captures these external details very well and is beautifully finished in a deep burgundy colour. The steering wheel is unusually heavy for this range, the split rim sections being double the thickness that they need to be, but the rest of the detailing is very fine.
