Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Ferrari 250LM 1st Le Mans 1965 NART Alternative version MRCLSLM016 Dumay 2nd & MRCLSLM018 Filipinetti 6th With the works Ferrari falling by the wayside it was two concessionaires’ teams which battled for the win at Le Mans in 1965, the yellow Belgian entry eventually having to settle for the runner up slot to the NART entry after a blown rear tyre cost time while the damage was fixed. The Filipinetti team, with their slightly larger engine, were sixth home after the driver’s opted to run at a steadier pace and preserve their car. Physically all three were extremely similar and it is in the decoration that we see the differences on the models. The paint finishes are all very good, as we’d expect and the wire wheels are painted rather than bright stainless steel, adding a little realism. Overall, very good model which will be welcome additions to many Le Mans collections as quality models of these subjects have been unavailable for many years.
