Product Review Taken From Four Small Wheels Magazine Chevrolet Corvette Scaglietti 1959 Blue The Corvette Scaglietti project came about thanks to three Texans, Gary Laughlin, Jim Hall and Carroll Shelby. The former wanted something more reliable than the Ferraris that he was racing and breaking and so three chassis were taken from the Corvette line and shipped to Italy. Ferrari used their influence to delay the project significantly and two of the cars had to be finished back in the USA. Each body was subtly different and this is the final one of the trio built. The specific body details are well observed and the metallic blue paint matches photos of the restored car. The interior on the car is it is now in a very bright red, whereas on the model it is a more subdued shade.
Very well finished resincast models. Made in China.
